Des responsables américains et israéliens ont confirmé qu’environ 30 dirigeants du Hezbollah ont été éliminés au cours des dernières semaines, marquant une série de frappes ciblées visant à affaiblir l’organisation chiite libanaise. Parmi les victimes figure Hassan Nasrallah, le chef emblématique du Hezbollah, dont l’assassinat représente un coup sévère pour le groupe militant.

L’armée israélienne aurait intensifié ses opérations dans le sud du Liban, menant plus de 1 000 frappes aériennes au cours de la seule semaine écoulée. Ces frappes font partie d’une offensive élargie visant à démanteler les infrastructures militaires du Hezbollah et à éliminer ses hauts responsables, après une recrudescence des tensions entre Israël et le groupe armé.

Selon les sources, cette campagne militaire est en réponse à l’augmentation des attaques transfrontalières orchestrées par le Hezbollah, notamment des tirs de roquettes et des incursions le long de la frontière israélo-libanaise. Israël considère ces actions comme une menace directe à sa sécurité nationale et a décidé de réagir de manière décisive.

L’élimination de dirigeants de haut rang pourrait fragiliser le Hezbollah à court terme, mais des observateurs avertissent que cela pourrait également entraîner une escalade dans la région, avec des représailles potentielles contre Israël et ses alliés. Le Hezbollah, qui bénéficie d’un soutien direct de l’Iran, a souvent réagi violemment après la perte de ses leaders ou infrastructures.

L’opération militaire israélienne, bien que saluée par certains comme une victoire tactique, a aussi suscité des inquiétudes sur la scène internationale quant à une possible intensification du conflit au Liban, qui pourrait plonger la région dans une nouvelle phase de guerre ouverte.
