Dans un contexte de relations diplomatiques de plus en plus tendues, le peuple haïtien soutient fermement la décision du Président Edgard Leblanc Fils et de la Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, Dominique Dupuy, de décliner l’invitation à l’investiture de Luis Abinader, président de la République Dominicaine. Contrairement aux insinuations formulées dans un récent article de Diario Libre, cette décision n’est pas le fruit d’une quelconque hypocrisie, mais plutôt d’un choix conscient et réfléchi de ne pas légitimer un gouvernement ouvertement raciste et hostile envers Haïti.

La position du Premier Ministre Garry Conille a été très ferme et solidaire. En refusant l’invitation à l’investiture de Luis Abinader, il a montré un soutien clair envers le Président Edgard Leblanc Fils et la Ministre Dominique Dupuy, affirmant que cette décision était un acte de dignité nationale face à un gouvernement dominicain aux attitudes discriminatoires.

La République Dominicaine, sous la présidence de Luis Abinader, a multiplié les actes de discrimination et d’hostilité à l’encontre des Haïtiens, allant jusqu’à alimenter les gangs armés en Haïti, comme l’a révélé un rapport des Nations Unies. Face à cette réalité, il est incompréhensible que nos voisins se sentent offensés par notre refus d’assister à une cérémonie d’investiture qui, de toute évidence, ne servirait qu’à renforcer un régime qui ne cache pas sa haine pour notre peuple.

Concernant le séjour médical de Leslie Voltaire, membre du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT), en République Dominicaine, nous tenons à rappeler que se faire soigner là où il le souhaite est un droit fondamental reconnu par la Déclaration Universelle des Droits de l’Homme, notamment dans son article 25. Les soins qu’il a reçus au HOMS de Santiago n’étaient pas un privilège, mais un service dû, et certainement pas gratuit. Contrairement à ce que la République Dominicaine offre aux responsables kenyans, nous doutons fortement de toute tentative de manipulation visant à démobiliser les forces prêtes à lutter contre les gangs armés dans notre pays.

En outre, la divulgation des informations médicales de M. Voltaire constitue une violation flagrante de la vie privée et de la dignité humaine, protégées par l’article 44 de la Constitution dominicaine et l’article 378 du Code pénal dominicain. Le fait que ces informations aient été rendues publiques par un médecin au service des médias pro-gouvernementaux dominicains est un acte condamnable et illégal.

Loin de se laisser intimider par ces attaques infondées, le peuple haïtien se tient aux côtés de son président et de sa ministre des Affaires étrangères. Il est absurde de qualifier la ministre Dominique Dupuy de « jeune » avec un sous-entendu péjoratif, alors que cette « jeune » femme fait preuve d’une précocité et d’une maturité remarquables. Elle a su dire non à un prétendu privilège qui n’était en réalité qu’une tentative grossière de manipulation diplomatique.

Le Président Edgard Leblanc Fils et la Ministre Dominique Dupuy ne sont pas des hypocrites. Ils ne sont pas au service de la République Dominicaine, contrairement à d’autres avant eux. Leur refus d’assister à cette investiture est un geste de dignité nationale qui aurait mérité d’être applaudi et célébré par chaque Haïtien. Et si ce refus était imprimé, nul doute que chaque Haïtien l’encadrerait fièrement dans son salon, son bureau, ou même dans son véhicule.

Lakayinfo réitère son soutien total au Président Edgard Leblanc Fils et à la Ministre Dominique Dupuy, et rejette fermement les insinuations malveillantes de Diario Libre. Haïti reste debout, digne, et résolue à ne pas plier devant l’injustice et le racisme.
