L’Organisation du Peuple en Lutte (OPL), dirigée par son Coordinateur National Edgard Leblanc Fils, a publié une note de presse ce lundi pour dénoncer avec force les récents événements ayant conduit à l’annulation du voyage de Leblanc Fils aux États-Unis. Ce dernier devait participer à la 79ème Assemblée générale des Nations Unies en tant que Président du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT). L’OPL qualifie ces événements d’« incident diplomatique » provoqué par des manœuvres politiques malveillantes qui auraient empêché le Président de représenter officiellement Haïti à cette importante réunion internationale. La délégation haïtienne s’est rendue à New York, mais sans la présence de son chef d’État à sa tête, une situation que l’OPL juge inadmissible. Le parti rappelle que, bien que le Premier ministre fasse partie de la délégation, c’est au Président du Conseil de Transition qu’incombe la responsabilité de représenter le pays dans de telles instances internationales.
Selon l’OPL, la décision prise par Edgard Leblanc Fils d’annuler son voyage, après les perturbations politiques qui ont entouré la préparation de cette visite, est une réaction appropriée qui reflète son intégrité, son caractère, et sa volonté de ne pas céder à des manipulations politiques. Le parti a réaffirmé sa conviction que Leblanc Fils, en tant que Président du CPT, est le seul à pouvoir exercer les attributions présidentielles en collaboration avec les autres conseillers de la présidence. La note met en garde contre les divisions et les intrigues politiques qui, selon l’OPL, nuisent à la transition en cours. Le parti souligne que de tels actes ne feront qu’aggraver la situation d’insécurité dans le pays et retarder la tenue de la conférence nationale et la réforme constitutionnelle, étapes cruciales pour mener Haïti vers des élections démocratiques.
L’OPL appelle le gouvernement et le Conseil Présidentiel de Transition à se conformer rigoureusement à l’Accord du 3 avril, qui définit l’agenda de chaque autorité au pouvoir durant la période de transition. Pour le parti, cet accord est la pierre angulaire de la stabilité politique nécessaire pour résoudre les crises actuelles. Le parti prend également note de la récente nomination d’un Conseil Électoral Provisoire (CEP) de sept membres par le CPT et le gouvernement. L’OPL appelle à compléter cette instance sans tarder afin d’instaurer la confiance parmi les partis politiques et la population dans la perspective des élections à venir.
L’OPL rappelle que la sécurité sur l’ensemble du territoire national est une condition sine qua non pour lancer un processus électoral réussi. Il est temps que toutes les grandes routes du pays soient réouvertes, que ce soit de l’Ouest au Sud ou de l’Ouest au Nord, insiste le parti, insistant sur la nécessité pour l’État de renforcer la présence de la police et de l’armée dans chaque région. Enfin, l’OPL souligne que la stabilité politique doit rester la priorité absolue du gouvernement de transition. Selon le parti, c’est dans un climat de calme et en évitant les scandales politiques que cette transition pourra aboutir avec succès. L’accord du 3 avril doit, selon l’OPL, servir de guide pour toutes les actions entreprises dans le cadre de cette période cruciale pour Haïti.
