Les récents changements opérés dans la diplomatie haïtienne soulèvent une indignation légitime. Sous l’influence de l’organisation politique dirigée par le coordonnateur du CPT, Leslie Voltaire, ces décisions reflètent une stratégie ouvertement partisane et claniques, en décalage total avec les principes d’une transition équilibrée et inclusive.

Alors que le pays s’enfonce chaque jour davantage dans le chaos sécuritaire, avec l’avancée incontrôlée des gangs armés et des massacres qui endeuillent des familles à travers le territoire, le gouvernement semble choisir de détourner l’attention. Plutôt que de concentrer ses efforts sur la protection des citoyens et la stabilisation nationale, il engage une manœuvre politique inélégante visant à renforcer la mainmise d’un clan sur le processus de transition, déclare Maître André Michel.

Ces nominations partisanes dans le domaine diplomatique ne sont pas des gestes anodins. Elles traduisent une volonté claire de verrouiller les leviers de pouvoir, au mépris du consensus qui avait été laborieusement construit lors des accords de la Jamaïque (11 mars 2024) et du 3 avril 2024. Ces textes, pourtant, stipulaient explicitement la nécessité d’une transition inclusive, équilibrée, et respectueuse des aspirations collectives pour sortir le pays de l’impasse.

Ces décisions marquent une rupture nette avec l’esprit du consensus. La transition, censée être un processus collectif visant à rétablir un minimum de stabilité politique, se transforme en une entreprise de captation du pouvoir par une minorité, dénonce Maître André Michel. Loin de rassembler, le gouvernement divise et exacerbe les tensions au sein de la société civile et des acteurs politiques.

Le rôle de chef de file d’une transition exige une stature politique forte, une capacité à arbitrer équitablement, et un sens aigu de l’intérêt national. Or, le Premier ministre Alix Didier Fils Aimé montre clairement qu’il ne possède pas les qualités nécessaires pour conduire ce gouvernement de transition. En tolérant, voire en orchestrant, ces manœuvres partisanes, il prouve qu’il est incapable d’incarner le leadership dont Haïti a désespérément besoin en cette période critique.

Dans ce contexte, Maître André Michel pose une question cruciale : à qui profite réellement cette transition ? Certainement pas au peuple haïtien, qui continue de subir les conséquences dramatiques de l’insécurité, de la pauvreté, et du désespoir. Le choix de privilégier des intérêts partisans au détriment du bien commun est une trahison des engagements pris envers la population.

Si cette tendance se poursuit, le gouvernement devra répondre de ses actes devant l’histoire et le peuple haïtien. Les sacrifices consentis par des millions de citoyens ne doivent pas servir de marchepied à des ambitions personnelles ou de clan.

Maître André Michel appelle le Premier ministre et son gouvernement à rectifier immédiatement le tir. Une transition réussie ne se construit pas sur des exclusions et des manipulations, mais sur un dialogue sincère et une gestion transparente. Faute de quoi, les responsables devront assumer pleinement leurs actes et leur incapacité à mener à bien cette mission cruciale.

Haïti traverse une période critique où chaque décision peut aggraver ou atténuer la crise. Les récents gestes politiques démontrent une absence de vision et une irresponsabilité dangereuse. Il est temps de recentrer la transition sur ses objectifs fondamentaux : rétablir la sécurité, restaurer la confiance, et poser les bases d’une gouvernance légitime et durable. Faute de quoi, le peuple haïtien continuera de porter seul le fardeau d’une classe politique irresponsable et déconnectée de ses souffrances.
