Le doyen du Tribunal de Première Instance de Port-au-Prince, Me Bernard Saint-Vil, a pris une mesure significative hier en distribuant divers dossiers de l’Unité de Lutte Contre la Corruption (ULCC) à plusieurs juges instructeurs. Parmi ces affectations, Merlan Bellabre se voit confier le dossier délicat de la corruption présumée à l’Office National d’Assurance (ONA) et celui du Bâtonnier Dorval. Walther Wesser Voltaire sera en charge du dossier du Ministère de l’Éducation Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle (MENFP), tandis que Jean Wilner Morin traitera les fausses déclarations de patrimoine de Nenel Cassy. Marthel Jean-Claude prend en main le dossier du Ministère des Affaires Étrangères (MAE).

Une décision particulièrement notable est la confiance accordée au magistrat Merlan Bellabre pour l’instruction du dossier sur l’assassinat du journaliste Diego Charles. Ce dossier, jusqu’à présent négligé, retrouve ainsi une place au sein du processus judiciaire.

Cette initiative du doyen Saint-Vil vise à dynamiser le traitement des affaires en suspens, offrant ainsi une lueur d’espoir quant à la transparence et à l’efficacité du système judiciaire en Haïti.
