Le Secteur Démocratique et Populaire (SDP) adopte une résolution pour l’avenir d’Haïti.-
3 min readLe Secteur Démocratique et Populaire (SDP), réunissant 97 délégués représentant les 10 départements géographiques du pays ainsi que la DIASPORA, s’est tenu en session extraordinaire le samedi 8 juillet 2023. L’objectif de cette réunion était d’évaluer la situation générale du pays et de prendre des mesures concrètes pour le renforcement et la structuration du mouvement. À l’issue des délibérations, une résolution a été adoptée à l’unanimité, témoignant de l’engagement du SDP en faveur d’un avenir démocratique et prospère pour Haïti.
La première mesure phare de la résolution concerne la mise en place d’une commission de renforcement et de structuration dans les 10 départements géographiques du pays, ainsi que dans les communes, les sections communales et les habitations, y compris la DIASPORA. Cette initiative vise à consolider les bases du mouvement et à renforcer sa présence à tous les niveaux de la société haïtienne.
Le SDP a également créé une commission de solidarité chargée d’apporter une aide concrète aux victimes directes et indirectes de la période de mobilisation anti-gouvernementale qui a sévi de 2017 à 2021. Cette démarche témoigne de la volonté du SDP d’accompagner les citoyens touchés par les troubles politiques, tout en favorisant la réconciliation et la cohésion sociale.
Le mouvement reste fermement attaché aux accords du 11 septembre 2021 et du 21 décembre 2022, tout en encourageant les autres secteurs de la vie nationale à emprunter la voie du dialogue et du compromis pour résoudre les problèmes conjoncturels et structurels du pays. Le SDP soutient également sans réserve la décision du gouvernement de solliciter une force robuste d’appui à la police nationale, avec le soutien de la communauté internationale, afin de garantir les conditions sécuritaires nécessaires à la révision constitutionnelle et à l’organisation des prochaines élections générales.
Dans une perspective plus large, le SDP s’engage à travailler en collaboration avec les organisations socio-politiques démocratiques et progressistes en vue de construire une grande alliance politique capable de remporter les prochaines élections générales. Cette alliance est considérée comme une condition essentielle pour mettre fin au système d’exclusion qui prévaut actuellement dans le pays.
Le SDP exhorte également le gouvernement à mettre en œuvre rapidement un programme d’apaisement social qui cible les plus nécessiteux, qu’ils vivent dans les villes ou dans les régions les plus reculées d’Haïti. Le mouvement exprime son soutien aux efforts déployés par le Premier Ministre Ariel Henry, le Gouvernement et le Haut Conseil de la Transition (HCT) pour élargir le consensus du 21 décembre et créer un climat socio-politique favorable à la réussite de la période intérimaire.
En interne, le SDP met en place une commission de communication afin de faciliter les échanges et la participation des membres dans les prises de décisions. Cette mesure vise à renforcer la transparence et la démocratie interne au sein du mouvement.
Enfin, le SDP réaffirme son combat contre la corruption et sa volonté de poursuivre la lutte pour la réalisation du procès Petrocaribe, tout en s’engageant à mettre fin au gaspillage des ressources de l’État. Le mouvement considère que l’amélioration des conditions de vie de la population haïtienne passe nécessairement par une gestion rigoureuse et éthique des fonds publics.
Cette résolution adoptée à l’unanimité par les délégués du SDP témoigne de la détermination du mouvement à œuvrer en faveur d’un avenir démocratique, prospère et équitable pour Haïti. Les dirigeants du SDP, Ricard Pierre et Joël Costumé, ainsi que les porte-paroles Marjory Michel et André Michel, apposent leur signature pour authentifier ce document historique, faisant de cette journée du 8 juillet 2023 un moment clé dans l’histoire du SDP et de la nation haïtienne.
