Agé de 53 ans, celui-ci est en bonne santé et l’équipe scientifique estime qu’il est « probablement guéri de l’infection VIH. »
La greffe de moelle a éliminé les particules de virus présentes dans le corps du patient. De plus, si certaines persistent sans être détectées, la mutation les empêche de se propager et d’entrer dans les cellules de l’organisme.
Une stratégie qui n’est pas généralisable
