Haïti – Kenscoff sous le feu : un blindé de la PNH incendié, plusieurs policiers blessés lors d’une violente attaque armée

Kenscoff, 7 août 2026 – La situation sécuritaire s’est de nouveau aggravée à Kenscoff ce vendredi, après une attaque armée menée contre les forces de l’ordre dans le secteur de Viard 2. Selon les premières informations disponibles, des individus lourdement armés ont pris pour cible des unités de la Police nationale d’Haïti (PNH) engagées dans des opérations dans la zone.
L’assaut a entraîné l’incendie d’un véhicule blindé de la PNH et fait plusieurs policiers blessés. L’ampleur exacte des pertes et des dégâts matériels n’a pas encore été officiellement communiquée.
Face à cette offensive, la PNH a rapidement dépêché des renforts, appuyés par des soldats des Forces armées d’Haïti (FAd’H) ainsi que par des brigades de vigilance locales, afin de repousser les assaillants et tenter de reprendre le contrôle du secteur.
Cette nouvelle attaque illustre la dégradation continue de la situation sécuritaire dans la commune de Kenscoff, où les groupes armés multiplient les offensives contre les forces de sécurité et les populations civiles.
Réagissant à cette nouvelle flambée de violence, le maire de Kenscoff, Massillon Jean, a lancé un appel pressant aux autorités centrales afin qu’elles déclenchent des opérations d’envergure pour reprendre durablement le contrôle de la commune. Selon lui, seule une intervention coordonnée et soutenue permettra d’enrayer l’expansion des groupes armés dans cette zone stratégique située aux portes de Port-au-Prince.
Les autorités n’ont, pour l’heure, pas publié de bilan officiel détaillé, tandis que les opérations sécuritaires se poursuivent dans plusieurs secteurs de Kenscoff.
