Haïti : l’ambassadeur Antoine Michon réaffirme l’engagement de la France pour une Police nationale plus professionnelle à l’issue d’une formation de plus de 100 cadres et officiers

Deux sessions de formation consacrées à la sécurisation des grands événements et au maintien de l’ordre dans le respect des droits humains ont été organisées avec l’appui de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.
Port-au-Prince, 28 juin 2026 – L’ambassadeur de France en Haïti, Antoine Michon, a présidé, vendredi, la cérémonie de clôture de deux formations destinées à plus de 100 cadres et officiers de la Police nationale d’Haïti (PNH), organisées avec le soutien de l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).
Ces sessions de formation visaient à renforcer les capacités opérationnelles de la PNH dans deux domaines jugés prioritaires. La première était consacrée à la sécurisation des grands événements, notamment dans le cadre des processus électoraux, tandis que la seconde portait sur les techniques de maintien de l’ordre dans le respect des droits humains.
La cérémonie de remise des certificats s’est déroulée en présence de l’Inspecteur général de la PNH ainsi que de six formateurs français issus d’unités spécialisées, notamment du RAID, des Compagnies républicaines de sécurité (CRS), de la Direction de la coopération internationale de sécurité (DCIS) et de la Préfecture de police de Paris.
À cette occasion, l’ambassadeur Antoine Michon a souligné que ces formations s’inscrivent dans le cadre d’une coopération policière bilatérale active entre la France et Haïti. Il a réaffirmé l’engagement des autorités françaises à accompagner le renforcement des capacités de la Police nationale d’Haïti afin de contribuer à la professionnalisation de ses effectifs et à une lutte plus efficace contre toutes les formes de criminalité.
Cette initiative intervient dans un contexte où les autorités haïtiennes et leurs partenaires internationaux cherchent à renforcer les compétences des forces de sécurité, notamment en vue des défis liés au rétablissement de l’ordre public et à l’organisation de futurs processus électoraux.
À travers cette coopération, la France réaffirme sa volonté d’appuyer les efforts de modernisation de la Police nationale d’Haïti en privilégiant le développement des compétences, le respect des standards internationaux et la protection des droits fondamentaux dans les opérations de maintien de l’ordre.
