Haïti renforce sa coopération avec la Fédération mondiale des ingénieurs pour accélérer l’innovation et la résilience climatique

Paris – La Délégation permanente d’Haïti auprès de l’UNESCO a accueilli, ce jeudi, une séance de travail entre le ministre de l’Environnement, Valéry Didier Fils-Aimé, et le président de la Fédération mondiale des organisations d’ingénieurs (WFEO/FMOI), Dr Seng Chuan Tan, afin d’explorer de nouvelles perspectives de coopération dans plusieurs secteurs stratégiques.
La rencontre s’est tenue en présence de la déléguée permanente d’Haïti auprès de l’UNESCO, Lilas Desquiron, et de l’ambassadeur d’Haïti en France, Louino Volcy.
Les discussions ont porté sur plusieurs domaines jugés prioritaires, notamment la construction, la formation des jeunes ingénieurs haïtiens, la gestion des risques liés aux changements climatiques, la prévention des risques sismiques, l’intégration de l’intelligence artificielle dans les métiers de l’ingénierie ainsi que le recours aux nouvelles technologies dans le secteur de la construction.
À l’issue des échanges, le ministre Valéry Didier Fils-Aimé et le président de la WFEO/FMOI se sont engagés à assurer un suivi des différents axes de coopération évoqués afin de favoriser leur mise en œuvre.
Par ailleurs, la Fédération mondiale des organisations d’ingénieurs devrait prochainement se prononcer sur l’adhésion de deux organisations haïtiennes : le Collège national des ingénieurs et architectes haïtiens (CNIAH) et la Coopération des cadres haïtiens pour l’innovation et le développement (CCHID).
Si elle est approuvée, cette adhésion permettrait à ces deux organisations d’intégrer un réseau international réunissant des associations d’ingénieurs de plus d’une centaine de pays, ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles opportunités de coopération, de formation et d’échanges techniques au bénéfice d’Haïti.
