Le Collectif du 30 Janvier adresse une correspondance à M. Edgard Leblanc Fils, Coordonateur du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition, pour rappeler à tous les membres du conseil les dispositions de l’accord du 3 avril 2024.

Le Collectif du 30 Janvier, un acteur clé du processus politique en Haïti, s’est exprimé sur les récentes développements au sein du Conseil Présidentiel de Transition (CPT).

Le collectif, signataire de l’Accord du 3 avril 2024 qui a établi le CP, a émis des inquiétudes concernant un document récemment diffusé intitulé « Résolution relative à la prise de grandes décisions », signé par les conseillers.

Selon le collectif, ce document soulève plusieurs questions quant à sa légitimité et à son impact sur le fonctionnement du CP. En particulier, le collectif souligne les points suivants :

  1. Le statut d’organe de l’État accordé au CP ne peut être remis en cause par une résolution non contraignante.
  2. Le décret du 12 avril 2024 stipule clairement que le CP est présidé par l’un de ses membres, choisi par consensus ou à la majorité.
  3. Le choix de M. Edgard Leblanc Fils en tant que Coordinateur du CP a été approuvé par une majorité de conseillers.
  4. L’Accord du 3 avril 2024 ne prévoit pas de majorité qualifiée ni de présidence tournante.

Le collectif rappelle également que le CP n’a pas de rôle d’exécution selon l’Accord du 3 avril 2024, et que les décisions présidentielles en Haïti sont prises en collaboration avec le gouvernement et le Parlement.

Dans un souci de respect des conditions juridiques et institutionnelles, le Collectif du 30 Janvier demande à M. Edgard Leblanc Fils de prendre en considération ses recommandations.

Pour authenticité, le collectif mentionne plusieurs partis politiques et adresse une copie à M. Patrick Boisvert, Premier Ministre a.i.
