Lors de cette rencontre, le commandant en chef a.i de la PNH a été accompagné de L’IGC Fritz Saint-Fort, l’IG Frédéric Leconte, Directeur de la DCPJ, DCPA Joanis Canéus, et lD Garry Desrosiers, porte-parole de la PNH.
Voulant mieux se renseigner sur l’incident qui s’est produit lors de cette manifestation et qui a coûté la vie à un journaliste et deux autres blessés, le DG Frantz ELBE et ces hauts gradés ont souhaité que lumière soit faite autour des informations faisant croire que des policiers seraient impliqués dans cet incident.
Le journaliste, étant acteur clé dans le processus de socialisation, doit avoir toute protection des autorités compétentes, comme prescrit la constitution haïtienne. Personne ne doit constituer de barrière empêchant à un journaliste d’exercer librement son métier. Et le Directeur Général a.i de la PNH, Frantz ELBE, y croit absolument.
En effet, une enquête est déjà en cours à la DCPJ et l’inspection générale afin de déterminer le degré d’implication réelle des policiers dans cette affaire, aux fins d’application des mesures appropriées
