Le porte-parole du Secteur Démocratique et Populaire, Maître André Michel, a exprimé son insatisfaction vis-à-vis de la récente rencontre avec la Mission de la CARICOM en Haïti, déplorant l'absence de certains secteurs clés tels que la jeunesse, le vaudou et le protestantisme. Dans une déclaration à la presse, Maître André Michel a demandé à la CARICOM de mieux planifier ses futures visites en Haïti pour garantir une participation inclusive de tous les secteurs de la société.

Le porte-parole du Secteur Démocratique et Populaire, Maître André Michel, a exprimé son insatisfaction vis-à-vis de la récente rencontre avec la Mission de la CARICOM en Haïti, déplorant l’absence de certains secteurs clés tels que la jeunesse, le vaudou et le protestantisme. Dans une déclaration à la presse, Maître André Michel a demandé à la CARICOM de mieux planifier ses futures visites en Haïti pour garantir une participation inclusive de tous les secteurs de la société.

Maître André Michel a également abordé la question de l’accord du 21 décembre 2022, soulignant qu’il n’était pas question de renégocier un consensus suffisant qui avait été reconnu par la communauté internationale. Il a insisté sur la nécessité de continuer à travailler avec les différents secteurs pour mettre en œuvre l’application de l’accord et impliquer les non-signataires dans la procédure pour la mise en place du Conseil Électoral Provisoire (CEP) et l’élaboration de la constitution avec le HCT.

Selon Maître André Michel, le pays doit aller de l’avant pour favoriser des élections libres, honnêtes et démocratiques, plutôt que d’utiliser des artifices pour ralentir davantage les genres de bonne volonté. Il a appelé à la tenue rapide d’élections dans le pays et renouvelé sa demande à la communauté internationale de créer les conditions nécessaires pour y parvenir.

Haïti a grandement besoin d’une force internationale pour aider la Police Nationale à résoudre le problème de l’insécurité et permettre la tenue d’élections justes et démocratiques.

En somme, Maître André Michel a exhorté la CARICOM et la communauté internationale à travailler en étroite collaboration avec tous les secteurs de la société haïtienne pour garantir une participation inclusive et une transition démocratique réussie dans le pays. Il a également souligné l’importance de prendre des mesures immédiates pour résoudre les problèmes de l’insécurité et organiser des élections justes et transparentes, qui permettront à Haïti de se remettre sur la voie de la stabilité et du développement.
