Arrestation d’un commissaire de police pour complicité avec des gangs armés à Port-au-Prince.-

Le commissaire Lyvenson Gauthier, responsable du commissariat de Tabarre, a été arrêté le vendredi 13 septembre 2024 après une longue journée d’interrogation par la Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire (DCPJ). Cette arrestation intervient suite à des soupçons de collusion entre Gauthier et plusieurs gangs armés qui sévissent dans la capitale haïtienne.
Selon les informations recueillies, le commissaire Gauthier aurait entretenu des relations avec des individus impliqués dans des activités criminelles perturbant la ville de Port-au-Prince et ses environs. Ces alliances auraient permis à ces groupes criminels d’opérer en toute impunité dans certains quartiers, aggravant la situation sécuritaire déjà préoccupante de la région.
Face à ces accusations, la DCPJ a ouvert une enquête pour déterminer l’étendue de ces liens présumés entre Gauthier et les fauteurs de trouble. Si ces allégations se confirment, le commissaire pourrait faire face à des accusations graves, compromettant davantage l’image de la police dans un contexte où la confiance du public est déjà fragilisée par la montée en puissance des gangs en Haïti.
