Attaque meurtrière contre le sous-commissariat de Bon-Repos: Au moins 4 policiers tués.-

L'attaque, menée par des bandits de Canaan qui ont réussi à récupérer un véhicule blindé, s'inscrit dans le contexte des gangs sous le nouveau label "Vivre Ensemble", cherchant à renverser le Premier Ministre Ariel Henry, qui lui-même exprime sa volonté de rester au pouvoir jusqu'en 2026.

Au moins 4 policiers, dont un inspecteur, ont été tragiquement tués lors d’une attaque armée perpétrée contre le sous-commissariat de Bon-Repos le jeudi 29 février 2024. Cette attaque, revendiquée par les bandits dirigés par le chef de gang de Canaan, Jeff Gwo Lwa, a été confirmée par le Syndicat National des Policiers Haïtiens (SYNAPOHA).

Parmi les victimes figurent également deux policières, tous issus des 26e, 31e et 32e promotions. L’attaque, menée par des bandits de Canaan qui ont réussi à récupérer un véhicule blindé, s’inscrit dans le contexte des gangs sous le nouveau label « Vivre Ensemble », cherchant à renverser le Premier Ministre Ariel Henry, qui lui-même exprime sa volonté de rester au pouvoir jusqu’en 2026.

Cette journée de violence, revendiquée par le chef de la fédération de gangs G9, a également vu trois avions touchés par des projectiles, un policier blessé et 23 impacts de balles constatés sur les deux aéroports, Toussaint Louverture et Guy Malary. Les vidéos virales sur les réseaux sociaux témoignent de l’horreur vécue par les employés et voyageurs, contraints de se coucher au sol pour échapper aux balles assassines.

En réaction à ces événements, des vols internationaux et domestiques ont été annulés, et des écoles, comme le collège Saint Martial, ont été plongées dans la peur. La tension s’est également ressentie dans toutes les grandes communes de la région métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince, où le sous-commissariat de Portail Leogane a été partiellement incendié et des voitures incendiées par les bandits. Les forces de l’ordre étaient présentes au sous-commissariat de Bon-Repos au moment de l’attaque, soulignant la vulnérabilité persistante des agents de sécurité face à la violence des gangs armés.
