Aujourd’hui, le 25 juin 2025, marque un tournant décisif pour Haïti avec l’arrivée des troupes kenyanes sur le sol haïtien. Cette intervention est saluée comme une victoire majeure pour Maître André Michel, un fervent défenseur des droits du peuple haïtien. Depuis 19 mois, Michel, à travers son parti politique le Secteur Démocratique et Populaire, n’a cessé de plaider auprès de la communauté internationale pour un soutien concret à la Police Nationale d’Haïti (PNH) afin de combattre les gangs armés qui plongent le pays dans une crise sans précédent.
Les gangs armés ont semé la terreur à travers le pays, rendant la vie quotidienne infernale pour de nombreux Haïtiens. Face à cette situation, Maître André Michel a envoyé de nombreuses requêtes à l’Organisation des Nations Unies (ONU) pour exposer la gravité de la situation et l’incapacité de la PNH à gérer seule cette menace grandissante. Ses efforts acharnés et son engagement inébranlable ont finalement porté leurs fruits avec l’intervention des troupes kenyanes.
Cette initiative internationale est perçue comme un soutien crucial pour renforcer les capacités de la PNH et rétablir l’ordre dans les zones contrôlées par les gangs. Maître André Michel a exprimé sa gratitude envers la communauté internationale et a réaffirmé son engagement à continuer de lutter pour un Haïti sûr et prospère.
L’arrivée des troupes kenyanes représente un espoir renouvelé pour le peuple haïtien, épuisé par des mois de violence et d’insécurité. C’est aussi une reconnaissance des efforts inlassables de ceux qui, comme Maître André Michel, ont consacré leur vie à défendre les droits de leurs concitoyens et à restaurer la paix dans leur pays.
