La gestion des fonds de passeports à l’ambassade d’Haïti à Washington, des contrats problématiques, dont ceux pour le lobbying, sont dans le viseur de la chancellerie haïtienne et de la Cour supérieure des comptes et du contentieux administratif.
Le ministre des Affaires étrangères, Jean Généus, interrogé par le journal, a confié que « des missions d’inspection et d’audit ont été effectuées dans deux consulats. Les rapports seront soumis aux autorités concernées pour décisions ». « Les scandales à répétition qui ternissent l’image de la chancellerie doivent être sanctionnés », a poursuivi Jean Généus, soulignant « qu’il y a aura rappel, transfert et révocation ».
« Les décisions seront prises à partir des critères objectifs et non partisans. Les fonctionnaires non impliqués dans des cas de malversation, de détournement de fonds ou de scandales n’ont pas à s’inquiéter », a assuré le ministre des Affaires étrangères et des Cultes, Jean Généus.
« Les cas des personnes nommées de façon irrégulière feront l’objet d’une attention particulière. Il en sera de même des contrats signés et des nominations effectuées sans l’aval de la chancellerie », a prévenu le chancelier.
Le président de la Cour supérieure des comptes et du contentieux administratif, Fritz Robert St Paul, répondant aux questions du Nouvelliste, mercredi 9 mars, a confirmé avoir reçu une correspondance du président du Sénat de la République, Joseph Lambert, demandant à ladite Cour de braquer ses projecteurs sur ce qui se passe dans certaines représentations diplomatiques d’Haïti.
« Le conseil de la Cour avait déjà pris la décision d’auditer la gestion des passeports à l’ambassade d’Haïti à Washington et se pencher sur les contrats de lobbying, entre autres », a indiqué Fritz Robert St Paul.
