Selon le rapport d’une enquête menée par la Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire (DCPJ) relayée par la Fondation « Je Klere », l’honorable Sénateur Onondieu LOUIS serait impliqué dans des opérations de corruption qui viennent renforcer la méfiance de la population dans les institutions du Pays.
Sensible à l’image de l’Institution parlementaire et stimulé par l’opiniâtreté de la bataille contre la corruption en Haïti, le Sénateur Youri LATORTUE écrit au Président Carl Murat CANTAVE pour essayer de sauver ce qui peut l’être encore. Objet : Conférence spéciale pour traiter de la position du Sénat
Monsieur le Président,
Tenant compte du scandale concernant les fonds de la questure, il est urgent de tenir une conférence spéciale dans le but de traiter du cas. Aussi, je me permets de solliciter votre intervention pour la tenue d’une telle séance.
Il importe cependant, pour moi de vous préciser que cette démarche qui me parait indispensable, ne se situe pas dans le cadre de mes attributions de Président de la Commission Ethique et Anti-Corruption. Cette Commission que je préside n’a pas qualité pour se charger d’une telle enquête, puisqu’elle a déjà été prise en charge par la police et le Pouvoir Judiciaire (Art. 227 des Règlements Intérieurs du Sénat).
Si la Commission avait eu la primeur et qu’elle l’avait lancée avant l’intervention de la justice, ce serait autre chose. A noter, que la Commission Ethique et Anti-corruption, n’a cependant aucune réserve à enquêter sur quelque soit le dossier soumis à son appréciation dans le cadre de la loi, boussole garante de sa crédibilité.
Ainsi, au nom de mon attachement à cette institution républicaine que jour après jour, année après année, j’ai travaillé à renforcer ; Institution grâce à laquelle d’ailleurs certaines enquêtes efficaces comme PETROCARIBE, DERMALOG, « Parade de Noel », « projet Lampadaire à Polo », etc. ont pu être menées pour renforcer le combat contre l’opacité des dépenses publiques, je vous exhorte à faire un suivi rapide de cette requête.
