Le suspect, Marco Gaio Romeo, 45 ans, avait été arrêté pour le meurtre d’une autre ancienne partenaire, Paula, rapporte le Daily Star.
Le couple avait vécu dans la station balnéaire de Torremolinos, sur la Costa del Sol, dans le sud de l’Espagne.
Paula, une Italienne de 28 ans, aurait été poignardée 14 fois par Roméo, qui est le père d’un de ses trois enfants.
Après l’arrestation de l’auteur présumé de son meurtre, il aurait avoué avoir également tué Sibora après avoir vu sa photo toujours au poste de police.
Il aurait admis avoir utilisé de l’acide pour dissoudre son corps.
Lorsque la police espagnole a fouillé l’ancien appartement du couple le 6 juin, elle a fait la découverte terrifiante des restes de Sibora dans un sac poubelle caché derrière un mur.
L’appartement, qui se trouve à proximité du poste de police, avait déjà été fouillé à plusieurs reprises – mais rien n’avait été trouvé.
De nouveaux locataires vivent actuellement dans la propriété et ont coopéré avec la police dans leur enquête.
Les restes ont été envoyés pour des tests ADN afin de confirmer qu’ils appartiennent à Sibora.

Les agents de la police judiciaire espagnole ont donc utilisé des rayons X pour récupérer l’empreinte des fondations de la maison. C’est finalement à l’intérieur d’un coffre en bois, entre les murs, que son corps a été retrouvé, ce mardi. Une autopsie est en cours à l’Institut médico-légal de Malaga pour tenter de connaître les circonstances de sa mort.

D’autant plus que Sibora s’était confiée peu de temps avant sa disparition sur la relation qu’elle entretenait avec son compagnon. Elle lui avait confié qu’il s’était montré très violent à plusieurs reprises avec elle.
L’homme avait déjà fait l’objet de deux plaintes pour violences conjugales et avait notamment reçu une mesure d’éloignement concernant l’une de ses anciennes compagnes. Au moment de son interpellation pour l’agression au couteau de sa petite amie actuelle, les parents de Sibora ont fait le rapprochement avec leur fille: « Nous savions à 100% qu’il l’avait tuée à ce moment-là ».
