L’ancien Ambassadeur américain, Bryan Dean Curran, avait aussi déclaré au New York Times: « Quand Stanley vous dit quelque chose, il est très difficile de déterminer laquelle partie est vraie ».
Ainsi il a n’a pas hésité à exécuter des campagnes de “character assassination” au profit des objectifs de ses employeurs, qui ont créé des accusations mensongères (au besoin) contre des dirigeants ciblés. Stanley l’inventeur.
Il est intéressant de savoir pourquoi on a fait choix de lui comme agresseur d’Haïti. Max Blumenthal, journaliste indépendant, s´est aussi saisi du sujet, et dit : « quand je demande au directeur de communication d’IRI pourquoi on a engagé Stanley, il a refusé de répondre (…) ».
L’IRI, institut international républicain est fondé à Washington dans les années 80, avec l´objectif de promouvoir la démocratie sous la présidence de Ronald Reagan. Mais nous savons pertinemment que cette organisation existe pour renverser les régimes jugés trop indépendants par les conservateurs. Ainsi on a vu l’IRI très actif particulièrement en Haïti, au Venezuela et au Cambodge.
Haïti est le seul pays dans lequel IRI a eu du succès d’après un officiel américain. Le coup d’état du mois d’avril 2002 au Venezuela a permis au monde entier de voir la main de l’IRI qui a publiquement supporté le coup des grands patrons vénézuéliens. Je dois rappeler aussi que pendant cette période, Stanley Lucas a fait 7 voyages au Venezuela en mission pour l’organisation qu´il représentait en Haïti, toutefois il n’était pas présent au moment du coup.
