L’activiste panafricaniste franco-béninois, Kemi Seba, se trouve dans l’œil du cyclone alors que les autorités françaises envisagent de lui retirer sa nationalité. Cette décision fait suite à ses prises de position hostiles contre la France, révélées dans une lettre officielle datée du 9 février 2024 et confirmée par le ministère de l’Intérieur.
Les autorités reprochent à Seba d’attiser un sentiment anti-français en Afrique de l’Ouest à travers ses messages jugés « outranciers » diffusés sur les réseaux sociaux.
Le document, signé par le sous-directeur d’accès à la nationalité française, met en lumière les accusations de néocolonialisme portées par Seba contre la France. Pour le ministère, ces actions dénotent d’une déloyauté manifeste envers le pays. Cette affaire soulève des questions sur la liberté d’expression et les limites de la critique politique en France.
Kemi Seba, quant à lui, ne compte pas se laisser faire et promet une résistance farouche contre cette décision, affirmant être engagé dans une « guerre coloniale » qu’il ne perdrait pas.
