Si des signataires de l’accord de Marriott et certaines organisations politiques non alignées estiment que la solution à la crise doit passer par la démission ou la réduction du mandat du président de la République, les représentants de Jovenel Moïse et des partis politiques alliés du pouvoir voient, quant à eux, comme solution de sortie de crise, la formation d’un gouvernement de consensus.
La solution de sortie de crise doit-elle passer par la démission du président de la République ? La réduction de son mandat ou simplement par le choix d’un nouveau Premier ministre et la formation d’un gouvernement ? La journée du jeudi 30 janvier 2020 s’est déroulée autour de ces questions à la nonciature apostolique pour la deuxième journée de négociations politiques. « Cette deuxième journée a été très agitée et les discussions ont été intenses. Les négociations portaient sur l’organisation de la gouvernance du pays. Le départ du chef de l’État ou la formation d’un gouvernement ? On est encore loin d’arriver à une entente sur cette question », a rapporté au Nouvelliste un des participants très influents à la rencontre.
« Nous avons beaucoup de désaccords sur la conception du nouveau pouvoir de sortie de crise. Les représentants et les organisations politiques proches du président de la République ne veulent pas entendre parler de la réduction du mandat, encore moins de la démission du chef de l’Etat alors que pour les autres partis de l’opposition, la solution à la crise doit passer par le départ de Jovenel Moïse », a révélé notre source.
« Pour montrer notre bonne foi, nous avons laissé de côté la démission immédiate du président pour parler maintenant de la réduction de son mandat. À un moment ou à un autre, Jovenel Moïse devra démissionner. Il ne devrait pas organiser les prochaines élections », a rapporté au journal une autre source, signataire de l’accord de Marriott qui a pris part à la rencontre.
Selon nos sources, même si les acteurs ne sont pas encore parvenus à un accord sur la résolution de la crise, « mais nous avons travaillé sur la feuille de route du prochain gouvernement… », ont indiqué nos sources.
« Nous allons poursuivre les négociations ce vendredi dans l’espoir de trouver un accord ou un miracle… », ont-ils confié sous le couvert de l’anonymat puisque les acteurs politiques se sont mis d’accord pour ne pas faire de déclaration dans la presse au cours des négociations.
