Un ministre de Curaçao en mission économique en Haïti

, une délégation de ce pays, dirigée par le ministre du Développement économique du petit État autonome au sein du Royaume des Pays-Bas, Steven Martina, est revenu pour une mission commerciale en Haïti.
La délégation Curaçao cherche à accroître le commerce, l’investissement et les opportunités d’affaires entre les deux pays. Elle doit rester en Haïti jusqu’au 30 novembre et visitera plusieurs sites importants pour se familiariser avec la culture haïtienne.
Le ministre Martina a souligné que cette visite vise à renforcer les liens culturels entre les deux pays. « Historiquement Haïti et Curaçao ont toujours été connecté et c’est une excellente occasion de renforcer ce lien au profit de l’économie des deux pays », a déclaré le ministre Martina lors d’une conférence de presse tenue à l’Hôtel Karibe à Port-au-Prince.
« Haïti est un grand marché pour Curaçao, en particulier pour l’exportation. Il est un grand marché avec 11 millions d’habitants, ce qui offre beaucoup d’opportunités et possibilités de Curaçao », a déclaré le ministre Martina.
Le PDG de Sunrise Airways M. Philippe Bayard était également présent lors de la conférence de presse. M. Bayard a souligné l’importance de la connexion entre les deux îles. Il a également annoncé que Curaçao sera deuxième plaque tournante de la compagnie aérienne avec Haïti comme le premier.
