La crise en Haïti affecte les commerçants dominicains.-
2 min readLe ministre de l’Agriculture Osmar Benítez a déclaré que la crise politique en Haïti a créé de l’incertitude et affecte le commerce entre les deux pays, en particulier les producteurs d’œufs.
Benitez a déclaré que sur les 30 millions d’œufs par mois qui ont été vendus au marché haïtien, le volume est tombé à environ 10 millions.
«En Haïti, nous avons une situation d’instabilité qui est très triste que c’est très triste parce que je connais beaucoup d’amis haïtiens (…) J’ai un ami qui achète de gros volumes de nourriture, par exemple il a acheté des œufs, une énorme quantité d’œufs et s’il a acheté 30 camions d’œufs par mois maintenant, il n’en achète plus que 10 parce qu’il ne peut pas y jouer, ils le vandalisent sur la route, ils l’agressent », a expliqué le ministre.
Il a exprimé l’espoir que les secteurs politiques haïtiens parviennent à un accord qui stabilisera la situation et normalisera les flux commerciaux. « Nous espérons que la chose pourra être stabilisée, que ce soit par un accord politique entre les parties, un arrangement, j’ai beaucoup d’amis en Haïti et la vérité qui me rend très triste car qui souffre c’est le peuple haïtien ».
Le ministre a fait ces déclarations en participant à une réunion avec les commerçants, où il a garanti qu’il n’y aurait pas de pénurie de produits agricoles puisque le marché a suffisamment de riz (5,1 millions de quintaux en magasin), de pommes de terre, de carottes, de betteraves, d’œufs en abondance , haricots, pigeons, porc, poulet), il y a assez de nourriture pour les Dominicains.
