Une délégation de la Communauté caribéenne (Caricom) se rendra à Port-au-Prince cette semaine, selon des informations obtenues par Le Nouvelliste auprès de sources concordantes. Lors de son intervention au Conseil de sécurité de l’ONU le jeudi 6 juillet dernier, le Premier ministre de la Jamaïque, Andrew Holness, avait également annoncé la visite des émissaires. Cette visite fait suite aux négociations entamées début juin en Jamaïque.
Du 12 au 15 juillet, ils seront en Haïti. Pour l’instant, nous ne savons pas avec qui ils se réuniront. Les invitations n’ont pas encore été envoyées. La visite des émissaires de la Caricom en Haïti est perçue comme une nouvelle tentative de trouver une solution politique à la crise qui secoue le pays depuis plusieurs mois. Les acteurs politiques et de la société civile espèrent que cette délégation facilitera les pourparlers et conduira à un accord qui permettra de sortir de l’impasse actuelle.
