Comme dans la théorie des dominos où la chute d’un seul élément peut entraîner le renversement de tous les autres, l’affaire Dermalog semble être une superstructure où les actes de corruption se suivent, se ressemblent et se lient. 

Alors que l’opinion s’attardait à démêler le vrai du faux dans le rôle qu’aurait joué la première dame Martine Moïse dans le choix de la firme Dermalog, engagée par l’État haïtien à exécuter un contrat visant à reproduire les Cartes d’identification nationales sans la signature de la Cour supérieure des comptes et du contentieux administratif, le président de la commission Éthique et Anticorruption du Sénat Youri Latortue revient sur le tapis avec une autre découverte tout aussi préoccupante : « Après les 8.2 millions de dollars américains déjà transférés à la firme Dermalog, dans le cadre de ce contrat, sans l’avis de la Cour des comptes, les autorités viennent de transférer une autre tranche de 2 millions de dollars à cette firme.
