Résidant dans ce pays depuis quatre ans, Traore Mamoudou, un citoyen français, a été interpellé dans la ville de Baranquilla, où « il était installé depuis un an pour tenter d’échapper à l’attention des autorités »,a annoncé dans un communiqué le procureur général.
De ce port de la côte Caraïbe, Traore Mamoudou organisait l’envoi de stupéfiants vers plusieurs destinations en Europe, notamment en recrutant des « mules », des passagers de lignes aériennes chargés de transporter la drogue, a-t-il ajouté.

Il contactait « des personnes en situation vulnérable et leur proposait de dissimuler la drogue sur eux-mêmes, à même le corps, ou dans leurs bagages ».
Traore Mamoudou était notamment impliqué dans le cas d’un technicien commercial récemment arrêté en flagrant délit à l’aéroport de Roissy-Charles de Gaulle à Paris, avec 16 kg de chlorhydrate de cocaïne.
Il était également « en contact avec des groupes de narcotrafiquants en Colombie pour chercher d’autres moyens d’exporter la drogue », toujours selon le procureur général, qui précise que le suspect a été capturé en collaboration avec les autorités françaises.avec AFP. Ouest-France
