Moins de 24 heures après la conférence de presse de Jovenel Moïse, les conséquences de ses déclarations se font déjà sentir.

En effet, même si la lettre conjointe de démission n’a pas encore été acheminée au président de la République, dans une interview accordée à la rédaction de Juno7, Evans Paul, coordonnateur de la commission présidentielle chargée de mener des discussions en vue d’une solution à la crise a confirmé qu’il a démissionné de cette structure.
À en croire monsieur Paul, Jousué Pierre Louis et Jean Rodolphe Joazile ont emprunté la même voie pour ne pas être jugés par la rigueur de l’histoire, dit-il.
Cette décision a été prise après la sortie fracassante de Jovenel Moïse qui, le mardi 15 octobre 2019, a déclaré : « ce serait irresponsable de ma part de présenter ma lettre de démission. »
Selon l’ancien premier ministre Evans Paul, cette lettre conjointe de démission fait état : « du handicap des travaux de la commission présidentielle après les déclarations de Jovenel Moïse. »
Face à ces déclarations jugées trop turbulentes du président de la République, le désormais ancien coordonnateur de la commission présidentielle chargée de mener les discussions en vue d’une sortie de crise a crié au scandale en prenant le contre pied de la position du chef de l’État qui n’a pas tenu parole alors qu’il avait promis aux membres de cette commission que son mandat sera sur la table des négociations.
Même si l’information reste encore confidentielle, Evans Paul a annoncé la démission imminente d’autres membres de la commission.
